MEETING I TO I —In Conversation with Michael Howard
As our deepest hopes and aspirations are fraught with challenges, we can find meaning and direction in the view that our ideals are not illusions but realities to be realized through developing our full human potential.
This view informs my striving as an artist. My artistic activity continues to evolve as a path of contemplative inquiry into being and becoming human. In addition, I see myself as a cultural worker striving to serve the advancement of human culture and society.
I welcome the opportunity to share some of my questions and experiences as an artist with the intention that it will lead us into conversation about our evolving humanity.…Our conversation together is itself an opportunity to build a new form of community based on the art of meeting I to I.

Crossing the Veil and Coming Back to Life
Presenting an ensemble theater piece based on the true stories of people who have reported near death experiences. The stories follow a travel journey narrative starting with the “moment of death” when the characters have been declared clinically dead or experienced a medical crisis that brought them to the edge of death. This leads to a crossing of the veil between life and death where they had profound experiences and visions of life in the post-mortem realms. The journey concludes with a return to physical life and the challenges of sharing the experience with others and integrating it into their lives.

Understanding and Responding to This Moment in Our Time - a Conversation
As polarization, violent conflict, threats to democracy and mass displacement are on the rise across the world, many of us are asking how we might come to a deeper understanding of the particular moment in which we are living. What are the more veiled dynamics at play today? Some of us, as well, may be asking ourselves how to be a force for the good through inner work and outer deeds.
Our gathering will focus on these themes, seeking to share our varied spiritual and practical insights, and through listening to be enriched by one another, which may, in turn, inspire each of us to take action individually or with others.
