Biodynamic Composting Workshop – with Nicki Robb
The Hartsbrook School, in conjunction with the Sojourner Branch of ASA in the Pioneer Valley, invite you to this workshop.
Bio-Dynamic Agriculture - healing the soil at home or on the farm.
The focus of this workshop will be on building a compost pile using bio-dynamic methods of agriculture to regenerate life in your soil, whether garden or farm.
The essential elements of Biodynamics will be explained and demonstrated through hands-on activity. Come prepared to work with your hands.
In the spring our earth awakens, comes to life, and all of Nature is filled with an urgent imperative—to start growth so that seeds, yet to fructify, will be ripe and re-sown. It will take a few weeks, a blink of an eye, and so our natural cycle begins in our soil for yet another year.
Please join us as we build a compost pile, suitable for any household or homestead, and scalable to farm applicability. In this hands-on workshop, we will explore the role that a home-made compost pile has in the larger picture of soil health. We will discuss the importance and impact that such simple regenerative practices can play in the endless cycle of use and renewal.
